We performed mold and asbestos surveys of over 170 units in the 914 unit complex, then mold (and related asbestos) abatement planning, oversight, monitoring, and documentation at most of those units. All but a few of those units were occupied, so our flexibility and our coordination and planning skills were key factors in the successful completion of the projects. By implementing a good mold management program, we helped the association, the property management company, and the contractors to reduce their liability and the costs of addressing mold problems due to construction defects and deferred maintenance, despite lawyers going door to door in the complex soliciting occupants for lawsuits.
